If you find beauty in blending classical elements with contemporary expression.

LOYALTY, THE CHOREOGRAPHY
Premiered in 2023, "LOYALTY" marks Adam Linder's return to ballet, reimagining its classical vocabulary for contemporary dialogue. Set to the music of avant-garde band Coil, the work sees five world-class dancers weave virtuosity and abstraction into a hybrid language of movement. Through three acts, Linder confronts ballet's traditional formations and power structures, creating a physicality that is both raw and refined, melancholic and serene. The piece explores what remains sacred in classical dance while questioning representations of gender and race, transforming corps-de-ballet traditions into a distinctly 21st-century expression.

Adam Linder works with choreography in multiple formats; his pieces are often presented on stage or in an exhibition space. Linder’s practice focuses on the specifics of dance and how the medium relates to notions of value, desire, technology and collective psyche. At age of fifteen, Linder was scouted by The Royal Ballet School in London and left Australia to pursue a career as a dancer. Linder’s rigorous early training was later consolidated during formative years spent performing with Michael Clark Company and Meg Stuart’s Damaged Goods where he developed the critical and experimental strands that inform his choreographic work.
