Katrien De Blauwer exists between destruction and creation, recycling vintage magazine images into compositions where intimate and anonymous exist in tension. The Belgian artist, a "photographer without a camera," uses scissors as both scalpel and wand to excise bodies from forgotten narratives. Her collages emanate like olfactory memories, creating a visual syntax distinctive as a signature perfume—compositions that linger in consciousness where desire and absence dissolve into one another.
