Aspects of the New Museum — a series responding not to the art on the walls, but to SANAA's building that holds it: stacked aluminum boxes on the Bowery, the material conditions of a body arriving to look.

N°1 is the body on the street, looking up — warm metal mesh heated by sun, neon at street level, the animalic hum of urban surfaces absorbing human presence. The bright edge where the city becomes the building.
