Aspects of the New Museum — a series responding not to the art on the walls, but to SANAA's building that holds it: stacked aluminum boxes on the Bowery, the material conditions of a body arriving to look.

N°2 is the empty exhibition spaces, waiting — wood and concrete warmed by inner light, the mineral silence of raw surfaces, the otherworldly anticipation that fills a room before art enters it.
